What happened to a good man with his son
The action is located around England, in the county of Hertfordshire. Mr. Bingley has rented the house of Netherfield Park and his family come from the north of England. The Bennet family lives in the town of Longbourn, and Meryton is the closest town. Mr Darcy came from Derbyshire.
Mrs Bennet: Her main worry was marry one of his daughters to the rich boy who had come to the county. She was interested in having good relation with him, so she asked his husband to visit him. Mr Bennet was very materialistic, her daughters have to marry a man with a lot of money and who can provide for them.
Mr Bennet: He is a calm and pleasant man, but very irresponsible and carefree with his family. He has a good relation with Jane and Elizabeth and he is very close to them. Mr Bennet had no son, the property, when he die, would pass to a distant cousin, Mr Collins. His daughters would not have nothing unless they married.
Jane Bennet: She is the oldest Bennets sister. She is twenty–
Two and everybody thinks she is the most beatiful lady in the neighbourhood. Jane is very sensible and sweet and she only tries to see good in other people. In the end, she gets married with Mr Bingley.
Elizabeth Bennet: She is going to reach twenty-one years old. She was cheerful, smart, mentally talented and judges the position and attitude of the people around her. That brings her problems as happens when she rejects Mr.Collins in marriage.
Mary Bennet: She is eighteen years old and she spends a lot of time studying and reading but she has a lack of common sense.
Kitty Bennet: She is seventeen years old and she is called Kitty by her family who describes her as a headstrong and frivolous girl.
Lydia Bennet: She is the youngest Bennet sister. Lydia is fifteen years old and she is portrayed as a dominant girl. Her life is based on flirting with military officers and she has a relation with George Wickhow (a militia regiment lieutenant).
Charles Bringley: He has twenty-two years old and he is charming, handsome, pleasant, rich and he is also very popular in Meryton. Mr Bringley rents Netherfield near Longbourn and he get in love with Jane Bennet.
Caroline Bringley: She is Mr Bringley’s sister. Caroline is a elegant girl who pay no heed to Meryton people. She is jealous to the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy.
Mr. Wickham: He was handsome, pleased and he impressed all the girls in Meryton society. Mr. Darcy father was his father’s employer and when he die (el padre), he leave the money and property to him. Darcy was jealous of this and finally he didn’t gave nothing to Wickham.
Lady Catherine de Borough: She is arrogant and rich. Lady Catherine wants her daughter to get married with her nephew Mr Darcy and she gets angry when she knows about the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and her nephew.
William Collins: He is twenty-five years old. Portrayed as a dull and pompous man, he is the heir of Longbourn (the property of Mr Bennet, his cousin). Mr Collins is a parson and he has obtained clerical living on the state of Lady Catherine the Borough ( Kent). He gets married with Charlotte Lucas.
Charlotte Lucas: She is Elizabeth’s best friend in the beginning of the book but later, Elizabeth is disappointed with her because he accepts Mr Collins offer of marriege. Chalotte is quite clever and she is the daughter of the Bennet’s neighbours. She gets married at the age of twenty- seven.
Georgiana Dorcy: She is Darcy’s younger sister. She is beuatifull, elegant and talented in many ways
Colonel Fitzwilliam: He is Lady Catherine’s nephew. Fitzwilliam and Dorcy are both in charge of Georgiana and they has a good relation. He befriend Elizabeth while she is in Kent.
