  1. The internet started in the 1960s with ideas from scientists. Some scientists, for example, Lawrence Roberts, saw in computers an opportunity to send information around the world. After that, Roberts and other scientists created ARPANET in 1969 with the goal of establishing a central network for communications which would bring about many changes in technology.
