Radical Ontology: Life, Hermeneutics, and Historical Existence

Radical Ontology

The philosophy is not supposed to know why you have to start asking itself. This must point Metaphilosophy called and ordered to overcome the skepticism by setting the primary reality of which party and which makes sense in any other reality. Philosophical knowledge is ontology. Philosophy is not knowledge that progresses cumulatively from a philosophical advance. The principle is a progressive shrinkage to the following principles. The mission is to radicalize the philosophy of Western culture, to settle to the primordial (life). Philosophy is a theory that is circular because their method of hermeneutics, i.e., moving in circles from the outside inwards.

Individual historical ontology life is radical reality, because it happens and it takes its meaning drift and any other reality. Radical primary means obvious and systematic. The historical life is not like organic life. It’s not like biology that explains life through chromosomes, etc. His concept of life is a hasty theoretical goal, secondary, special and specialized, that involves human life and culture. It’s not like the psyche of the individual, but the character, mental illness… The psychology explains human psyche by features, pathologies, referring in the background to many processes of our brain. They are something derived, objective and specialized that belong to the living and manifesting in your life. Ortega talks about life as consisting of those life activities which each one stars in. Biographical life is the ultimate reality and evidence for its absolute immediacy. Ortega departs from the ancient concept of principle as elemental and dynamic, that constitutes and determines the operation of all interested individuals. The historical life in the ontology that is really radical, is the condition for the manifestation of reality for the human knower.

Hermeneutics of Life

The method of ontology is necessary for the closed and complete description of the essential attributes of things from their meaning. Ontology is a theory without assumptions that starts from the experience of life. The interpretation is complete when the description has been closed around the most intimate and integrated in all aspects of the determination. The result would be the sense of historical being as a whole constituted by its essential attributes.

Constitution of Life

Life is what we do and what we prefer to call what happens. Ortega attributes essential components of life, to understand that life is an event. Things have to be determined. Human life is happening, something that cannot be defined or objectified beforehand. Ortega exposes three attributes: its being evidential, worldly, and temporal.

Evidential

The most happening outside of my life is that I own, is mine. The frame of life is mine because I realize every one of his events. This makes me realize every one of my vital events. This manifests to give evidence in my interaction with things and personhood in the world, allowing me to have them and myself in what I do and what happens to me. The immediate and obvious to every man is his life. A thinker’s thought is a representative form and derived from the “awareness” of their acts. Something tells us that our self and more real things are those that interact corporeally. Instead of remembering the memories and experiences, I theorize. The scientific self builds theories that only make sense if they’re worth and become effective when playing for real. Thinking is a vital activity more representative in relation to the other activities in your life. It is our living evidential.

Mundane

In all the events that comprise my life, I realize things may be interacting with or related to people. This found in the world is mundane. The lifeworld consists of the belief system with which life has in everything he does and everything that happens. This living environment consists of fields where people, pragmatic things, institutions, and our interactions are what they are with ourselves. The great man is the animal that is pensive and projects the cultural worlds and the animal technician who invented the factory. Human sensitivity is life. We do not choose our world, nor the time to enter it, but we suddenly found ourselves living in a world that is ours (thrown into the world). In the same way, I did not choose the circumstances and I cannot do without them.

Historical

It’s the unstoppable course of the ensuing events and faces between birth and death. We cannot stop it and to live, nor can we make others live it for us. Life is launched into the future and is not determined by the past, or by fate. The living self is forced to decide what will be done by choosing among its options. Human life is possibility and freedom in the finite and the future is the founder of a historical present time. In the historical time, we may be interacting with different civilizations and different historical worlds that are not on the same level of time.
