Personal Reflections: Cities, Mentors, Family, and Travel
My Love for Barcelona
Barcelona is a city I know very well. I go there many times with my friends or my family. I like it because there are many shops and restaurants. You can buy clothes, food, and various other items. The city is very big, and there are always people on the street.
I like to go to iconic places like Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. There are many nice buildings, such as Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. The Sagrada Família is very big and beautiful, attracting many people who take photos there every day.
Sometimes the traffic is very bad, and parking is difficult. I don’t like these aspects, but I still like Barcelona very much. There is always something to do and new places to eat. Every time I visit, I enjoy it and never get bored. I feel happy when I am there, and I always want to go again.
My Inspiring Teacher, Mireia
My best teacher was Mireia. She had long blond hair and was young. She was like a mom in class, always helping me with my problems and homework.
When I was sad or tired, she would notice and ask me what happened. She always smiled, and the class was calm. I felt safe with her. She made me believe more in myself.
She liked her job very much. I appreciated how she explained things very easily. Sometimes I didn’t understand, but she would try to explain again. She was very patient with me. Now, we still talk sometimes and meet for coffee. I am happy to have had her as a teacher. She is very special to me, and I miss her classes greatly.
Admiration for My Grandmother
I admire my grandma very much. She is not in very good health, but she continues as always. She cooks for us every day and asks if we’ve eaten well or need anything.
She is a strong woman and doesn’t complain. Sometimes she says she is tired but still makes lunch. When we go to her house, she has everything ready and is happy to see us.
I like to stay with her because she tells me stories from when she was young, and we laugh a lot. I feel safe and loved with her. She always thinks more of others than of herself. I want to be like her when I grow up. She is the best person for me. I love her very much, and I will never forget her.
Life in Palafrugell, Costa Brava
I live in Palafrugell, a small town on the Costa Brava. It is not very big. Sometimes it can be dirty, and there are robberies. Some people don’t respect the place, which is very sad.
However, I like it because the nearby beaches are very beautiful, like Calella and Llafranc. In summer, I go there almost every day with my friends. The water is clean, and we stay for a long time. We swim and play in the sand and enjoy the sun.
My favorite time is Festa Major. There is music, food, attractions, and many people on the street. Everyone goes out at night and has fun. The town looks alive on those days. Even though it is not perfect, I like living here because all my memories are here. I feel happy, and I love my town very much.
Memorable Ski Trip to Val Thorens
The last interesting place I visited was Val Thorens in France. I went there with my uncles and my cousin last winter. It was very cold, but I like skiing, so I didn’t care. The snow was perfect, and the mountains were very beautiful.
Every day we woke up early and went skiing until the afternoon. We ate in small restaurants near the slopes and took a lot of photos. One day, we visited a small, very cute town nearby, with small houses and lights everywhere.
I had a very good time there. It was one of the best holidays I have ever had. At night, we stayed in the hotel, played cards, or watched movies. I want to go back because I felt free and happy there. I remember all the fun daily. I will never forget this trip, and I hope I can go again.
My School Life and Experiences
My school is very big, with many students and teachers. The building has three floors and numerous classrooms. My classroom is small for the number of students we have, so sometimes it can be noisy and hot.
The teachers are very strict and give a lot of homework. Exams are very hard too, so we always need to study a lot. My favorite subject is maths; I like to solve problems and work with numbers.
I have been in this school since the first year of ESO. I know almost everyone here. We have a big playground, and during breaks, we talk and play. Even if sometimes I am tired or bored, I like to be with my friends and laugh a lot. I think I will miss school when I finish. I hope next year will be fun too.
