My Aunt: A Story of Resilience and Love

Early Life and Family

My aunt was born in Peru in 1970. She had a very happy childhood as the middle sister of three sisters (my mother is the youngest). Her sisters meant the world to her, and they spent many summers with their grandparents.

Becoming an Aunt, Wife, and Mother

Years later, my aunt studied to be a lawyer, but unfortunately, the situation became very difficult. In 1995, she became an aunt and got married that same year. She became a mother in 2003 and lived in Lima, Peru.

Tragedy and Loss

Tragically, she lost her first nephew in 2005 when he was hit by a truck. It was a devastating blow for the family, especially for her sister. A year later, her older sister fell into a deep depression and passed away after being hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in 2006. These were the worst years for my aunt and the family, especially for my grandparents, who lost a son and a grandson.

Strength and Resilience

Currently, she has been battling cancer since 2019 and has been divorced since 2010. Despite these challenges, she had three more children. Despite the circumstances, she remains a happy and resilient woman, facing her illness with courage. She is a true champion.
