A Day of Forest Crafts and Survival Training
Wednesday was the best day of my life! I learned how to make various crafts using objects from the forest. The activity began when the instructor taught us how to make buckets with sticks to catch water from the river.
The core of the activity was teaching us how to utilize objects from nature in order to survive. We learned several crucial skills:
- How to build a hut using leaves, sticks, rocks, and other natural materials.
- How to make fire using stones and dry grass.
- How to orient ourselves using tree moss and the sun.
- Identifying places to take refuge from storms or to flee from wild animals.
It was amazing! I would like to learn much more about nature. I highly recommend this activity because it is quite useful, and it is good to know all this in case you ever get lost in a forest or a similar situation. I think I’ll sign up for the next activity.
Introducing Alicia: My New Friend
Let me tell you a little about my friend Alicia. She was born in Madrid but moved to Zaragoza three months ago. I met her at the English academy where I go to study on Wednesdays. She invited me to have a snack, and since then, we have been very good friends.
Alicia is very generous and kind. She is a bit shy at first, but when she gains confidence, she won’t stop talking! She is a very nice girl and someone you can trust. She always tries to do everything possible to help those who need it.
She has long, wavy blonde hair, green eyes, and thick lips. She loves going out with her friends and spending time with her family. Her favorite hobby is going to the cinema. Her favorite food is pizza and fried chicken.
In short, my friend is a great person. I think you should meet her because she is a very happy person.

Subject: Next Weekend
Hi Paula,
How are you? I’m writing to tell you about the plans for next weekend. I couldn’t write before because I have been very busy with class work and exams.
Our Zaragoza Itinerary
On Friday afternoon, we are going to go to Zaragoza and we will have dinner there at a restaurant that has been recommended to me. Then, we will go to a disco nearby. We will sleep in a friend’s apartment.
On Saturday morning, we will go shopping. In the afternoon, we will go to the cinema to see a new movie. At night, we will go to another disco with our friends and we will go home by taxi.
The next day, we will have to do homework and clean up the house. This weekend is going to be great!
That’s all for now. Tell me what you think and if you want to do something else.
Love,
Claudia
