What Kinds of Jobs Are Available in Hotels?
There is a wide variety of jobs available in hotels. There are employees that help customers when they arrive and leave a hotel. These include: doormen, bellhops, front desk clerks, valets, and concierges. Behind the scenes, there are jobs for hotel managers and telephone operators, as well as housekeepers, maintenance staff, etc. Depending on the facilities a hotel has, there may also be pool attendants, gardeners, and a large variety of restaurant staff too.
What Do Hotel Employees Do?
Answer: Hotel employees perform a wide variety of tasks. Those who deal directly with customers try to make their stay at a hotel as pleasant as possible. Other staff ensure that the hotel is clean and that everything runs smoothly.
What Makes People Feel Welcome During a Hotel Stay?
Answer: Polite and friendly staff make guests feel welcome during hotel stays. Being addressed by their name also makes guests feel welcome. Fresh flowers in a room and some small gifts—like fruit, wine, or toiletries—can also really help make a guest feel welcome. Remembering things about a guest also makes them feel welcome—whether it is their favorite drink or hobby, or something about their family.
How Do You Make People Feel Welcome?
Answer: I make people welcome by smiling, using their name, offering to help them, and generally being interested in them and what they have to say. I try to use positive body language and involve them in what is happening in my life.

Answer: Hotels offer their guests a variety of activities. It is usually possible to do some exercise at most hotels. Guests can also, of course, eat and drink in the hotel or simply spend time relaxing. Guests can also do business in hotels.
What Places Can You Find Inside a Hotel?
Answer: Inside hotels, you can find gyms and swimming pools for guests to exercise in. Facilities dedicated to relaxation, such as saunas, are also offered. Hotels have restaurants and cafés, and for drinking, many hotels have sophisticated bars, open to guests and non-guests. There are often conference rooms in hotels for guests who are staying for business reasons.

Is It Hard to Travel with Children? Why?
Answer: Sometimes it can be hard to travel with children. Some cultures and countries do not make people with children welcome when they travel. But many places do, and nowadays there is a wide range of family-friendly accommodations and activities available. There are often special deals available for families and facilities just for them: childcare, special [e.g., menus] and meals in restaurants, playrooms, and so on.
What Activities Do Families Do on Vacation?
Answer: Families on vacation go sightseeing and to amusement parks where there are lots of things to keep children entertained. Many go to the beach to swim and play in the sand. They may also visit zoos and other tourist attractions and possibly go on day trips away from where they are staying.
