From Childhood Dreams to Adult Adventures: My Life’s Journey
Early Life and Education
Childhood in Cartagena
I was born in Cartagena. As a young child, I attended kindergarten and state school in my hometown. I cherish those early years as the most special of my childhood, filled with the joy of close friendships.
Teenage Years and School Transitions
My adolescence brought a move to secondary school, a challenging experience due to the unruly behavior of older students. Seeking a more respectful environment, I transferred to a school in Cartagena, where my uncle, the director, provided invaluable support in math, enabling me to excel academically.
Life Experiences and Career Path
A Life-Changing Job
After completing my education, I worked as a lifeguard, a pivotal period that profoundly shaped my values. This experience, where I confronted life-and-death situations and helped save lives at sea, ignited a passion for public service, leading me to pursue a career as a police officer.
The Influence of “Rambo” and the Pursuit of Adventure
Childhood Fascination
At the tender age of three, the movie “First Blood” (Rambo) left an indelible mark on my imagination. From that point forward, my playtime revolved around bows, arrows, knives, and toy guns, fueled by the heroic exploits of John Rambo.
Teenage Adventures and the Allure of the Outdoors
During my teenage years, my friends and I shared a weekly ritual of watching the entire Rambo saga. Inspired by the film’s themes of adventure and survival, we joined a gym and attempted camping trips in the mountains. However, after a disorienting experience getting lost, our parents restricted our unsupervised outdoor explorations.
Rediscovering Adventure in Adulthood
At 28, my thirst for adventure reignited, prompting a trip to the Central American jungle. This immersive experience, disconnecting from technology for 16 days and nights, solidified my lifelong yearning for exploration and survival challenges. It motivated me to enroll in a survival course led by Army instructors, a demanding endeavor requiring rigorous physical and mental preparation, including sleep deprivation and intermittent fasting.
Travel and Holidays
Preferred Travel Style
My ideal way to travel is backpacking. I thrive on adventure and find solace in nature’s embrace over bustling cities.
Traveling Companions
While I appreciate the freedom of solo travel, I prefer exploring with a small group. This dynamic minimizes the need for rigid plans, allowing for spontaneity and reducing the likelihood of disagreements.
A Travel Mishap
During a vacation, a misunderstanding with a hotel receptionist led us to an illegal taxi, resulting in a scam. This experience highlighted the importance of clear communication and research while traveling.
Dream Vacation
With $10,000, I would embark on a backpacking adventure through Central and South America, embracing the hostel life, connecting with fellow adventurers, and creating unforgettable memories.
Tourist Destinations in My Country
Spain boasts diverse landscapes, from vibrant cities to stunning beaches and majestic mountains. While I haven’t explored every corner, I highly recommend northern Spain for its welcoming people, breathtaking coastline, and delectable cuisine.
The Broadening Effect of Travel
I firmly believe that travel broadens the mind and combats prejudice. By immersing ourselves in different cultures and perspectives, we cultivate empathy and understanding.
New Technologies and Social Networks
Gadgets and Their Impact
My home is equipped with various gadgets, with my computer, PlayStation, and television being the most frequently used. Alexa, my virtual assistant, proves particularly helpful in monitoring and reducing energy consumption. However, my DJ equipment holds a special place in my heart, providing endless hours of entertainment.
The Importance of the Internet
The internet has become indispensable in our daily lives, particularly for work and education. It serves as a gateway to information, communication, and learning resources.
Social Media Usage and Its Potential Pitfalls
I actively engage with social media platforms, primarily WhatsApp and Instagram, using my smartphone. Recognizing their addictive nature, I utilize an app to limit my usage and maintain a healthy balance.
Advantages of Online Education
Online education offers numerous advantages, including access to diverse explanations and resources tailored to different learning styles and levels.
Online Shopping Preferences
After a negative experience with a warranty issue at a physical store, I now primarily purchase electronics online. This allows me to compare prices, read customer reviews, and make informed decisions.
Utilizing the Internet for Language Learning
The internet has been instrumental in my English language development. Websites, YouTube channels, and online resources provide comprehensive explanations and step-by-step guidance.
Environment
Forms of Pollution and Their Impact
Air, water, and land pollution pose significant threats to our planet. The soil suffers from pesticide contamination and deforestation, while annual floods carry debris into the sea. Industrial emissions and vehicle exhaust further exacerbate these issues.
Government Responsibility and Potential Solutions
Governments bear a substantial responsibility in addressing pollution. They should incentivize renewable energy adoption, enforce stricter regulations on industrial pollutants, and promote environmental education from an early age.
The Importance of Forests
Forests act as the Earth’s lungs, playing a vital role in regulating climate and supporting biodiversity. Deforestation leads to desertification, drought, and increased vulnerability to natural disasters. Protecting existing forests and promoting reforestation efforts are crucial for a sustainable future.
Water Conservation
Living in an area affected by water scarcity has highlighted the importance of responsible consumption. We can learn from past generations who efficiently managed limited resources. Installing water-saving appliances, fixing leaks, and adopting mindful water usage habits are essential steps in conserving this precious resource.
Shopping
1.I like to buy vegetables and fruit at the greengrocer in my town,
I can trust the owner. I used to buy in the street market, but the
street stalls don’t bring very fresh produce.
2.I like to buy every week and in large quantities, I never complain
about the prices.
3.Once I brought a fresh cheese, which the day after buying it smelled
terrible. The factory gave me a cheese and apologized.
4.I prefer to buy electronics online, because I can compare customer
reviews and choose my product more easily.
5.In products for my house, every time we choose something it
always exceeds 100 euros, and if it is important, 1000 euros.
6.The need for that product and its use.
My favourite room:
It’s been a month since I finished my hobby room. I built the room
with the help of a friend. The room is located in the básement,
measures about 25 meters and is soundproof because it is
necessary. In this room there are deejay equipment with powerful
speakers, many shelves to put vinyl records, I have been buying
these vinyls for more than 20 years, I estimate that I have about 300.
There is also a very large desk, it measures two meters, on it there is a
gamer computer, and in the background some LED lights, in the background
two closets with my sports clothes, a small refrigerator where there is never a
shortage of beers and soft drinks.
The walls are white since there is a lamp that has different colors and projects
them in different areas.
I try to use the room for at least an hour a day to relax, although
I can’t always do so. I love this room because I can disconnect from
everything for a few hours and Some weekends I use this room with
my friends to have a drink and talk about old stories.
Houses.
I live in a semi-detached house, it is 200 meters or so. The first thing you see is the garden
gate, behind the gate there is a path in the garden to the front gate. When you enter the house
, you find yourself in a large living room, with a wonderful sofa and a huge television, you can also see
the dog beds. At the end there are the stairs and a door that leads to the kitchen, my favorite part o
f the house, there is a large island where you can gather with friends. There are three bedrooms, one
of them with a kingsize and a bathroom, also in the house there are two more bathrooms, one in the atti
c and another next to the children’s bedrooms. In the attic you will see a huge sofa bed and a fantastic televisión
. Through the attic there is access to the terrace, where there are two armchairs and a sofa, under an umbrella.

I live in a very quiet neighborhood, perhaps because of the few public services that there are
. We have the most important ones, health, security and garbage collection.
I would like to live in a cabin in the mountains facing the sea, with a large fireplace. When buying a house
it is important to consider what you need and where you are going to work and where your children
are going to study. I believe that houses are becoming more self-sufficient every day and that
helps the environment, through the use of solar panels and appliances that consume less light and little water.
