Community Complaint Letters
Motorway Through the Park
Dear Mayor,
I am writing to complain about the plan to build a motorway through our local park. I believe this decision will have negative effects on our neighbourhood.
The park is the only green space in our town, and many families use it every day. Children play there, people exercise, and others go there to relax. If the motorway is built, the area will become noisy and polluted.
In my opinion, the city should look for another location for the motorway to protect the environment and the community.
I look forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Animal Shelters
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the poor conditions in the animal shelters in our city. I believe more action should be taken to help homeless animals.
At the moment, the shelters are overcrowded and cannot accept more cats and dogs. As a result, many animals are left on the streets without food or healthcare. This situation is becoming more serious every year.
In addition, some shelters do not have enough funding or workers. For example, volunteers often struggle to provide food and clean spaces for the animals. In my opinion, the city should open more shelters and improve the existing ones.
I hope action will be taken soon.
Skate Park Funding
Dear Council Members,
I am writing to complain about the lack of funding for the local skate park. Many young people in our neighbourhood are disappointed about this situation.
The skate park is old and unsafe, and several areas are damaged. Teenagers need a safe place to practise sports and spend time with friends after school. However, the council has not improved the facilities for years.
Furthermore, many young people now skate in the streets because the park is in poor condition. This can create accidents or problems with traffic. In my opinion, more funding should be provided to repair and modernise the skate park.
I look forward to your reply.
Clothing Donation Bins
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the clothing donation bins in our neighbourhood. Although donating clothes can help people, I believe there are also some problems with this system.
Many clothes sent to poor countries are not suitable for their climate or culture. As a result, a lot of these items are never used. In addition, some donation bins are always full and make the streets look untidy.
Moreover, these bins sometimes encourage people to buy more clothes than they really need. For example, many people donate old items just to make space for new ones. In my opinion, the city should reduce the number of bins and promote responsible shopping habits.
I hope you will consider this suggestion.
