True or False Statements
1. Say whether the following statements are T or F. Find the evidence in the text.
A. The Eurovision was originally used as a way to help unify Europe: It’s true because “They hoped this would unify a continent that had been divided by World War II.”
B. Over 140 million viewers now watch the Eurovision on the internet: It’s false because “Since 2000, the contest has also been available on the Internet where it is now watched by a further 74 million people in over 140 countries.”
